Laser Resurfacing (Laser Peels)

Laser Resurfacing or “laser peels” is the procedure, which is used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. It is also effective in treating areas of uneven pigmentation or facial scars. This is accomplished by using a carbon dioxide laser, which removes areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. Laser resurfacing can be performed on specific regions or on the whole face. It is often done in conjunction with another cosmetic operation such as a face-lift or eyelid surgery.
